Currently we host social services through Plumas Mental Health so that students and families are able to more easily access socio-emotional counseling services. The Feather River Cotlege TRO programs of Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound can also be found on our campus working with students to prepare for post-secondary education. Additionally, we work with the Boys' Council and the Girls' Circle which are both facilitated through the Plumas County Probation Office and are focused upon our 7th and 8th grade students. We also have a good working relationship with Plumas Rural Services, the Plumas County Sheriff's Department, the Rotary Club of Chester and many other community based service organizations. As your community school, we have found that building relationships with other service )roviders allows us to better meet the needs of our students. Students learn best when they are able to focus upon the academic content in their classes rather than worrying about how to handle the day-to-day concerns which can get in the way of learning. Knowing this, our staff is very skilled in accessing resources within our community to ensure that our students are able to be successful. if there is ever a situation where we may be of service to you or your family, please contact us. Even if you believe it is a situation which does not directly affect your child's education, we can usually assist in connecting our students and their families with the appropriate agency. We look forward to working with you in ensuring that your child receives the first-rate education which they need and deserve. Congrats to the 2013 Girls Soccer Champions!
